Some products on the market live up to their hype, while others, sadly, do not. When you have a company that’s really good at marketing, they can do a good job of convincing consumers that their products are superior to anything else on the market, or at least provide them with adequate reasons why they should purchase their company’s products over other ones that are similar.
So how do you see beyond the marketing lingo to determine if a product is really as good as “everyone” says they are?
When products truly are superior to others like them, the company’s claims will be backed by customers, as well as by industry experts. You should be able to easily find third-party reviews and customer testimonials that tell a similar story to what you read on the company’s website or in their ads. If you can’t, or if you find reviews that tell a different story, you have every right to be suspicious of a company’s claims. The only exception to this will be for products that haven’t been around long enough to garner many reviews.
Let’s take Anlin Windows, for example. Anlin’s website makes the following claims about their replacement windows and patio doors:
- Leading-edge energy-saving technology
- Outstanding noise reduction
- Exceptional quality, design, and beauty
They also call their company “the top replacement window and door manufacturer,” which is a very bold claim, considering the number of replacement window and door manufacturers out there.
So, do Anlin windows have the reviews and industry endorsements to back up their bold claims? The short answer is “yes.”
According to Michal Bohm, owner of BM Windows in San Diego, Anlin windows absolutely live up to the hype. Bohm says, “I’ve been in the replacement window industry for many years and I’m one who likes to stay on top of all of the products on the market. Anlin is one of the few brands that consistently lives up to their reputation. Not only do they make great windows and patio doors, but they actually stand behind their products. Many manufacturers offer lifetime warranties on their products, but when a customer actually makes a warranty claim they find any reason they can to deny the claim, or they take months to remedy the issue. In our experience, Anlin has been great about taking care of any manufacturing issues in a timely manner. It really sets them apart in the replacement window and door industry.”
Bohm continued, “Anlin products are very energy-efficient and exceed Energy Star standards without any upgrades, and their sound suppression package is second-to-none in my opinion. I recommend Anlin windows and doors to all of my most discerning customers.”
Anlin windows and doors are only sold through authorized dealers, such as BM Windows in San Diego. You can’t find them in retail stores, such as the “big box” home improvement stores. This is because Anlin requires that their products be installed by authorized professionals, to help ensure proper performance of their windows and doors.
